Viewer Guide & Safe Sandbox Details

Welcome to the Datok Interactive Report Viewer. This client-side application is tailored for stakeholders (finance, procurement, compliance, and management teams) to securely consume, inspect, and analyze ETL outputs.

1. Interactive Dashboards & Filtering

When viewing a dashboard, look at the left sidebar's **Global Dashboard Filters** pane. You can change selection dropdown values to query the database and redraw all pivot grids and charts dynamically.

For standalone worksheets, if any filters were set by the data engineer in the main workspace, they will appear at the top under **Interactive Sheet Filters**, allowing you to refine values inside the active worksheet.

2. Interactive Column Annotations (Catalog)

To view documentation for any data column in a pivot table or chart title:

In-Context Tooltips: Hover your mouse cursor over any table header cell that displays a dashed orange line. A secure tooltip card will display its business alias, description, and steward.
Central Catalog: Click the **Data Catalog (Catalog)** tab in the sidebar navigation to view a searchable, full-width catalog table of all column metadata in the report.

3. Secure Serverless Execution

Your data privacy and compliance guidelines are fully respected:

Zero Cloud Sync: Uploading files to the viewer does not send any bytes to remote cloud servers or storage buckets. Everything runs locally in your browser memory.
SQLite WebAssembly Sandbox: Queries and filter aggregations run off-thread inside a local browser Web Worker running the official SQLite WASM engine. This provides full security isolation.

4. Help & Navigation Shortcuts

Select worksheets, SQL queries, or charts directly from the sidebar. If you need to reload or clear the workspace, simply click **Close Report** at the bottom of the sidebar navigation to return to the file upload dropzone.
